Management offices and cutterhead production

 It is the hub where information arrives and from where solutions and modifications rapidly leave. This factory is also the site for mechanically-fixed cutterheads and braze-welded cutters - a site which is currently undergoing major investment. Every cutterhead is checked in minute detail to eliminate any risk of errors.

Carbide sintering

freud^® creates unique carbide blends to specific strengths, depending on the material the tool will be cutting. We produce all of our carbide inhouse through a sophisticated process starting from extremely fine powdered grain, alloyed with cobalt and tungsten. The small micro-grain carbide provides an extremely compact surface, with excellent quality for perfect cuts, time and time again.

Bit production

All freud^® router bits are produced using automatic, numerically controlled machinery, which make sure that each tool maintains a constant quality level throughout the entire production phase.

Sawblade production

Using the best technology and finest materials, we are able to manufacture saw blades with the following characteristics:

• precision laser cut plates with minimum tolerances;
• premium quality plates hardened up to 45 Rockwell HRC;
• laser cut slots control the expansion of the blade caused by heat and centrifugal force;
• special carbide grade, formulated and produced in freud^®  factories, increases the life of the tips; advanced tri-metal brazing;
• all the sawblades are accurately balanced and tuned.
